Looking for an incredible experience working with children this summer? Blue Dolphin Summer creates unforgettable day camp experiences for boys and girls from ages three to fifteen, through exciting programs designed to sharpen their character, and grow in their relationships with others. All of this could not occur if we did not have summer staff members who are passionate about serving and making a difference in the next generation. That's why we need you! Minimum Qualifications

Desire and ability to work with children outdoors

Ability to relate to one's peer group

Ability to accept supervision and guidance

Ability to assist in teaching an activity

Good character, integrity, and adaptability

Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control

High school graduate or equivalent, or at least 18 years of age

Head counselor and/ or camp director

General Responsibility
To identify and meet camper needs. To carry out camp programs. Ensure that campers have a safe enjoyable summer while developing confidence, leadership skills, and giving positive feedback.

•   Teamwork-Socially able to work with and support others, while accepting on-going feedback and evaluation from supervisors.

Staff Training

All applicants must be willing to commit to our Staff Training. During this time, we prepare staff to work with our campers by covering several areas; we look at camper issues and how to deal with various situations using role-play, lectures, and discussion methods. We use work projects as a way of getting to know each other and preparing our camp for opening day. It is highly recommended and expected that all staff attend our Staff Training Week activities. Only with prior permission from the Directors is it possible to arrive late to Staff Training .
